“If women are
expected to do the same work as men, we must teach them the same
things.” - Saul Bellow
The subject of my blog is Saul Bellow, one of the greatest American authors. Considered to be the most intellectual, he is also among the most spiritually aware authors of all times. This blog is an attempt at collecting quotes from Bellow texts along with his critics' views regarding his work and personality. Interesting facts from his life and career have been included and you can read brief articles expressing my own views on Saul Bellow.

Jewish Wisdom
“Again and again
in Bellow, wisdom comes from the Jewish past, or at least a
non-American past, often spoken by a meshugenah,
an eccentric.”

Bellow's view on attribution
"No writer can
take it for granted that the views of his characters will not be
attributed to him personally. It is generally assumed, moreover, that
all the events and ideas of a novel are based on the life experiences
and the opinions of the novelist himself."
